SportTayside & Fife Athletics Academy Coach (2 posts)

£12.81 PER HOUR Ref ATH001

The posts operate on variable hours up to 15 hours per week (average 10 hours per week)

SportTayside & Fife help to co-ordinate and facilitate sports programmes and activities at a local and regional level, ensuring they are closely aligned to the Governing Body’s plan for the sport.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a broad knowledge of Athletic events and experience in mentoring and coaching at an appropriate level.

The Athletics Academy will consist of two strands; strand one is a high quality coach-mentoring programme while strand two will focus on supporting selected developing athletes and their coaches in the Tayside and Fife region. You will have the skills to deliver this programme. A UKA Level 3 (or equivalent) coaching qualification is essential and a First Aid Certificate is desirable.

The successful candidates will have the ability to motivate others, demonstrating excellent communication skills in a range of environments whether working with individuals or groups. The candidates’ ability to use their own initiative will be imperative to the success of this role.

Various venues throughout the Tayside and Fife region may be utilised for this programme, therefore you must be able to travel to the place of work and as such a full driving license and access to a vehicle will be required.

The hours will be variable in line with training and competition phases of the programme. Additional information is contained within the recruitment pack. The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Scotland Check.
