Coach / Official Education and Development

Through consultation with coaches, teachers, the Tayside & Fife Club/Coach Development Manager and scottishathletics we plan to run a comprehensive Coach Education programme for athletics within the region. This will look to address everyone’s needs and will include running CPD courses for teachers and uk:athletics courses. By assessing needs we will look to provide courses including:

Level 1
Level 2 – Core and Event Group Modules
Children in Athletics

This site will also include details of Level 3 and 4 courses being run throughout Scotland.

We also aim to put on a series of event-specific workshops, led by some of the country’s leading coaches. For example there will be a Javelin Masterclass held at Pitreavie Stadium in Dunfermline on 30th September, led by Steve Backley and Mick Hill.

Coach Scholarships are available to assist with the costs of coach education for coaches operating at Level 2 and above. For further information please visit the coaching information page.
