European Visit
Sam Milne, the new Girls/ Womens Football Development Officer travelled to Czech Republic for a coach and club visit organised for coaches who work with the Scottish FA regional squads and development squads. The visit in November, which was organised as part of the Leonardo Da Vinci Project, was planned to support the education and development of the coaches working in the Regional Player Pathway. In total 20 coaches travelled with the party, including the Anna Signeul (National Manager), Sheila Begbie (Head of Girls/ Womens Development), Ann Helen Grahm (National Development Officer) and Shelley Kerr (National Technical Programme Manager). The group shared experiences with the two top teams in Czech Republic, Sparta Prague and Slavia Pargue as well as having conference time with the Czech Republic National Manager. High on the agenda was to network with these clubs and the association to establish training philosophies, developing talent plans and identifying talent. This trip was an excellent trip for networking with a European Country and with many coaches working within the Scottish Game.
