To strengthen the infrastructure of sport in Tayside & Fife, to bring sustainable increases in participation and performance for our developing athletes.


Scottish Hockey is pleased to announce the appointment of Elanor Cormack as the Regional Hockey Development Manager (Acting) for Tayside and Fife for a four month period commencing April 2008.
This is to ensure the development of hockey continues whilst wider employment issues are resolved.
SportTayside & Fife have jointly agreed this approach, and are pleased to welcome Elanor to the Team. She will be based at the SportTayside & Fife offices and can be contacted on 01382 431 852.
Elanor was previously employed as the Regional Development Officer for Sports Volunteering (Tayside & Fife) and also spent 2½ years with basketballscotland, initially as Youth Project Manager and subsequently Competitions & Club Development Manager.
She has been enthused by hockey since she first picked up a stick at school nearly 17 years ago. Her playing career has included school, club & regional level and she is still working to improve her game. In recent years Elanor has expanded her involvement to umpiring and junior coaching, as well as being an active member of her club committee.

Role of the Hockey Development Officer
The Hockey Development Manager will work closely with key partners and local stakeholders to create and implement a strategic plan for the sport in order to ensure the infrastructure of the sport develops effectively across Tayside & Fife. Within her role Lorna will lead the development of hockey across the region with a focus on Players, Clubs, Coaches, Volunteers & Officials, Facilities and Local & Regional Development Programmes.
